Dear Friends:
The Tambopata Eco Lodge, located in
the Tambopata National Reserve, 30 minutes
from Cusco on the banks of the Tambopata
River, is pleased to be able to share with
you some of the new ways in which our
clients can now benefit from our services:
1. The Tambopata Eco
Lodge was admitted to the
category of "ECOLODGE". This is
the highest possible rating for an
establishment of this type and we are
proud to assume this new responsibility
and commitment.
2. New Suite Rooms:
Thinking as ever in the comfort of our
guests and the demands of the travel
market, from May 15th we will be
offering four new double suites (with
twin beds) and two new matrimonial
suites with the following features:
• Each suite has
a total area of 45 square metres,
with the bedroom and bathroom
occupying a total of 28.50 m2.
• The style of
construction is rustic, with roofs
of wood and woven palm leaves,
although without affecting the
buildings’ harmony with nature we
have also incorporated modern
materials to improve guests’ comfort.
Surrounded by lush tropical forest,
each building has:
• A roofed
terrace with hammocks and chairs and
exceptional views of the forest.
• The bedroom has
two double beds thirty centimeters
longer than normal. The matrimonial
suites have king-size beds, with
fresh and hygienic ceramic floors
throughout adding to guests’ comfort.
• To prevent
insects from entering the buildings
the windows are completely screened
and all beds have individual
mosquito nets.
• The bathrooms
have three rooms and are floored
with ceramic tiles and supplied with
hot water provided by solar energy.
• For lighting at
night we use candles and lamps to
provide a relaxing, natural
atmosphere.
• Additionally,
all rooms at the Ecolodge are
equipped with comfortable furniture
made from local materials, as well
as a safe deposit box, extinguisher
and our trademark “Tambopata service”.
3. New spaces for
food and drinks:
We have enlarged our “Yacumama Dining
Room” and The “Ayahuasca Bar”, doubling
its original capacity. Our work would
not have been complete without the
kitchen. In order to improve our food
services we have built a new kitchen and
improved our operating capacity.
4. New Services:
We are incorporating into our list of
tours an Exclusive, or Private, Service.
As you already know, to date all our
clients, individuals or groups, in our
Standard or Superior rooms have shared
the same services (at different rates)
under the direction of our naturalist
guides. From 2007 we will be offering an
“exclusive service” that will include:
Airport pick-up
and transfer to our Ecolodge by
private vehicle and speedboat.
• Overnight in our suites.
• Naturalist guide at your
disposition during the excursions.
• All food a la carte or buffet with
a variety of local and international
cuisine.
• Souvenirs of your visit to
Tambopata and our Ecolodge.
(*) From June 15th 2006
we will be offering these services at an
introductory price.
(**) For the rest of 2006 guests will be
able to request our suites (at an extra cost)
during normal service tours.
(***) If travel agents or members of staff
are able to visit our Ecolodge, then we
invite them to stay in the new suites and
receive information on these services. (Availability
subject to demand).
